If only one of your lamps went out, then that is easily replaced. First, swap the lamps to make sure it is the lamp that is out and that the socket isn’t bad. If the lamp still works, then you will have to send your unit in to have the socket replaced. If the lamp still doesn’t work, you can order a new one online or over the phone.
Carefully follow the instructions below to replace your lamps:
CAUTION: Before you remove or replace any lamps, make sure the unit is unplugged.
Remove the two screws on the bottom of the unit closest to the lens. The lens should easily slide out. On the sockets of each bulb, there is a red button. Press this button while pulling up on the bottom end of the lamp. This will eject the bulb from the socket, still leaving it held in with the clip. Once the bulb is ejected from the socket, gently pry it out of the clip.
When you put in the new lamp, put it in the socket first, and then gently push it into the clip. Make sure that the lamp is secure in its socket before turning it on. You may want to turn the unit on before replacing the lens, just to make sure all is working well.
What happens if I miss a treatment?
If you miss a treatment every once in a while, then you will be fine. Try not to miss more than one or two days in a row. If you skip treatments on a regular basis, then it may take longer for your treatment to be effective.
You will also want to get a prescription from your doctor.
